Product Update August 2019

Aug 12, 2019 | 0 comments

We’ve been working on some major projects including the recently completed upgrade of the core MyHub platform, this included the software and server infrastructure. Key benefits of this upgrade include faster site speed and the ability to develop new features more quickly.

The first new feature is Microsoft Office 365 Single-Sign-On (SSO), this option will be tested by a small number of clients over the next few weeks before we do a wider release to all clients. The first step in releasing this option will be a change to the login page for all sites.

On Saturday the 10th of August 2019 at 23:30 PST we changed the login page, all users will still be able to log in using their existing user name and password however they’ll also see the Google SSO option and very soon they’ll see the Microsoft option too. Please see below for more information.

New MyHub log in page

Office 365 Single-Sign-On

If you’re a Microsoft Office 365 (O365) client you’ll soon be able to take advantage of synchronizing your Azure Active Directory users with MyHub, this will deliver the following benefits:

  • Your users can use the same O365 email address and password (credentials) to access your MyHub site so they’ll no longer need to remember another password
  • Once set up the user can click on the O365 log in button to access the site without the need to enter their email address and password every time
  • The site administrator can add and delete users to your MyHub site directly from Azure Active Directory so you don’t need to manage two user databases

Please note – using Microsoft and other SSO providers is optional, you can still continue to use the MyHub user management tools to add and manage users.

Just a reminder that your MyHub site already supports SSO from the following providers:
