Learning styles describe the differences in an individual’s learning preferences. There are four generally accepted learning styles:

 

  • Visual – prefer graphs, diagrams, and images
  • Auditory – like to listen and discuss
  • Reading and writing – prefer text-based learning
  • Kinesthetic – hands-on learners who gain knowledge by doing
